Sharing calendars with SOGo web interface

The calendars can be shared among SISSA users. A shared calendar can be used with the calendar web interface or with an external client.

To access the sharing properties select the Sharing … item from the context menu, by right-clicking on the calendar name:

A window containing sharing properties is displayed.

All SISSA users access / All WEB accesses

This permissions list box contain (for each calendar) only two default access permission lists, that cannot be deleted.

You have to modify them, ONLY if you need to publish this calendar for all SISSA users or all WEB accesses:

  • any authenticated users concern all SISSA users (example: calendar of course's lessons);
  • all WEB accesses concern all WEB accesses (example: calendar of a conference open to public).

Both access permission lists have as default values None for all their items.
To modify or display one of these default access permission lists settings: double-click on one of them.

Otherwise, to share this calendar with specific users list, see the next section.

Sharing a calendar with specific users

To add a shared access for a user do those steps:

  • 1) Click on the Add … icon at the top-left of the window:

another dialog window is displayed:

  • 2) In the text box at the top of this dialog window, write a search string (for example a user's surname or name) that matches the user account.

The matching users list is displayed in the box under.

  • 3) Select the user from the displayed list;
  • 4) click on button Add to add the user in the sharing main window.

Repeat steps 2 to 4 if you have to include other accounts in the share.

When you have finished close the dialog window clicking on Done.

The share properties window now contains the users with whom you have chosen to do the calendar sharing:

For each selected user -one by one-, you have to:

  • 5) select the check-box Subscribe User to mount the calendar in his/her user interface;
  • 6) modify his access permissions, double-click on the user's name.

A window opens:

Customize his access / permits to this calendar selecting:

  • 7) the most appropriate access rights according to those available (View All, Modify …) for each event/object of this calendar;
  • 8) creation/deletion of event/object of this calendar;
  • then confirm and close this window clicking on Update button.

Repeat steps 6 to 8 for every user you want included for sharing.

Finally close the sharing main window (click the cross icon on the top-right of the window).
