Sharing calendars with SOGo web interface

The calendars can be shared among SISSA users. A shared calendar can be used with the calendar web interface or with an external client.

To access the sharing properties select the “Sharing …” item from the context menu, by right-clicking on the calendar object:

Sharing menu item

A window containing sharing properties is displayed. For default the permissions list box contain only 2 items:

  • Any authenticated users
  • Public Access

The default entries cannot be deleted.

Double-click on an item to display the sharing settings:

Sharing list box defaults

As you can see in this view the defaults are for “None access”. Generally the default items have to be modified only if you need to publish the calendar for public web access (example: calendar of course's lessons).

See the next subsection in order to share your calendar with specific users.

To add a shared access for a user do those steps:

  • 1) Click on the button “Add” at the top-left of the window:

Add users for the share - step 1

another dialog window is displayed:

Add users for the share - steps 2-4

  • 2) In the text box at the top of this dialog window write a search string that matches the user account

The matching users list is displayed in the box under.

  • 3) Select the account from the list
  • 4) Click on button “Add …” to add the user in the sharing main window

Repeat steps 2 to 4 if you have to include other accounts in the share.

When you have finished close the dialog window. The share properties window now contains the users with whom you have chosen to do the calendar sharing:

Add users for the share - steps 5 and 6

  • 5) Select the check-box “Subscribe User” to mount the calendar in his/her user interface
  • 6) Double-click on the user's item to setup the access permissions

A windows opens:
