Proxy Server Guide - Safari (Mac OS X)


a) On the menu located at the top of the window

  • 1) Click on the Apple menu (first at left).
  • 2) Select System Preferences form the Apple menu (forth from the top).

b) In the System Preferences window

  • Click the Network icon at the middle of the window, second from the left.

c)From the Network window

  • 1) checked your connection method from the left box:
    • Ethernet if you are using cable or DSL.
    • AirPort if you are using a wireless connection.
    • Internal Modem if you are on a dial-up connection.
  • 2) Click Advanced button.

d) In the window Ethernet.

  • 1) Click on the Proxies tab
  • 2) Under Select a protocol to configure: Put a checked in the box labeled Automatic Proxy Configuration
  • 3) In the box URL: enter http://proxy.sissa.it/proxy.pac
  • 4) Click OK to save the settings and close the window.

e)Click Apply to close the Network window
