Proxy Server Guide - Internet Explorer 7.x

a) Start Internet explorer.

• 1) Click on the Tools menu on the top of the window.
• 2) Select Internet Options form the Tools menu (on the menu bottom).
  

b) In the Internet Options window click the Connections tab.

• 1) If you use a dial-up modem
  • In the Dial-up and Virtual Private Network section, select Settings
  • ………
• 2) If you are on cable or ADSL connection.
  • In the Local Area Network [LAN] settings section, select LAN Settings

c) In the Local Area Network [LAN] settings window, under the section Automatic Configurations.

• 1) Make sure that Automatically detect settings is unchecked
• 2) Put a checked in the box Use automatic configuration script
• 3) In the Address box enter http://proxy.sissa.it/proxy.pac
• 4) Click OK to save the settings and close the Local Area Network [LAN] settings window.

d) Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
