Windows 8 pre-configuration step
In Windows 8 a missing registry key causes printer installations to fail with error 0x000006d1.
a) Click on the down arrow to see details.
b) If the message is Operation failed with error 0x000006d1, please download win8print.
c) Double click on the win8print registry file and accept to import this settings into the registry.
Restart your computer and retry the printer installation.
