Microsoft 365 Email Service
- Email Clients Setup Guidelines (Windows Mail, Outlook, Mail on MacOS, Evolution, …)
- Utilizzo delle mailing list di gruppi SISSA in italian only
Email addresses
The SISSA e-mail service is unified under the domain @sissa.it
Every user has at least two email addresses activated:
- Primary SISSA email address: username@sissa.it
- Secondary email alias: name.surname@sissa.it
Both are associated with the SAME MAILBOX, accessible as usual with the personal account credentials.
Maximum size for an email
The maximum message size is 25MB (but it can grow up until 150MB, if needed).
If your mail contains graphics or generally files, not in text format, the mail server can increase your message size, so we suggest to limit the size of attachment to be smaller than 25MB.
Webmail (Outlook on the web)
The webmail service (Outlook on the web) is a web-based email client that requires at least Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari 10+ or Google Chrome to work.
- General information about email rules (filters). You can manage your email rules (filters) (vacation, automatically move emails to other folders and so on) using webmail (Outlook on the web) or Outlook application (Windows and MacOS users only).
Webmail FAQ
Calendar service
Within the migration of the email to Microsoft 365, it's needed to move from the SOGo Groupware Calendar to the new Outlook on the web calendar. Since it's not possible to migrate all the existing calendars between the two systems, instructions on how to perform this move are given here.
Exporting a calendar from SISSA Calendar SOGo service
- Login with your SISSA account to https://calendar.sissa.it
- Right click on the calendar you want to export and select
Export Calendar…
- Save the .ics file onto your computer
Import or subscribe to a calendar in Outlook on the web
You can import iCalendars (iCal)
calendars that are saved in the .ics format. iCalendars
are the standard for calendar data exchange over the Internet, and .ics is the standard format for iCalendar information.
