Web warnings using FIREFOX 3.x (Windows or Mac OS X or Linux), how to solve the problem


If you see the below messages or a similar….

Certificate messages when acces to the e-mail
…you need to download the SISSA Root Certificate.



If you do not want to see this message each time, you need to download the SISSA Root Certificate. If you decide
to Install the SISSA Root Certificate, read the instructions on the page: How to install Sissa root certificate using FIREFOX.



To access the SISSA web-mail without installing the SISSA Root Certificate, follow the next instructions.

Access to some SISSA web pages without installing the SISSA Root Certificate

Please note: if you do not want to install the SISSA Root certificate, you will see the previous message each time you will access some SISSA web pages (using a new session).

a) Click on Or you can add an exception

b) In the next warning messages click on Add Exception
Click on Add Ecxeption ....


c) In the Add Security Exception window, in the Server section, click on Get Certificate
Click on Get Certificate ...


d) In the Add Security Exception window, in the Certificate Status section:

  • 1) make sure that the Permanent store this exception box is unchecked.
  • 2) click on Confirm security exception.

Make sure that the Permanent ... box is unchecked, then click on Confirm...
