Matlab Campus-Wide License

SISSA has a Matlab Campus-Wide License: it provides unlimited use of MATLAB and Simulink desktop and online products to all

• enrolled students
• employees (faculty and academic staff)
• other academic staff (including researchers)

on and off campus, on any device.

If you're not eligible for a desktop or an online license (for example: you're a visitor or an external collaborator), you can still use the Network License Server provided by SISSA, but ONLY when you are connected to the SISSA network or to SISSA Remote VPN.

These instructions are also valid to install a Matlab version on a PC connected to the SISSA network.

1. Go to the MATLAB Portal of SISSA.
2. Under Get MATLAB and Simulink, click Sign in to get started.
3. Sign in or create a new MathWorks Account. You must use your SISSA email address (username@sissa.it) in order to get access to the software.
4. Click Install MATLAB and follow the prompts to download and install MATLAB products. When prompted, select the license labeled MATLAB (Individual).

The first time you run MATLAB on a specific computer, you will be prompted to sign in to your MathWorks Account. Thereafter you can work offline on that computer.

Install MATLAB on Personal Computers – Campus-Wide License

When you create a MathWorks Account, you must verify your email address. When you create your MathWorks Account with an email that matches the SISSA domain (username@sissa.it), you are automatically linked to the Campus-Wide License and can begin using MATLAB. To make sure you are eligible to continue to use a license linked to your account, you may be asked to verify your email address periodically.

MATLAB Online provides access to the latest release of MATLAB from a standard web browser using computing resources and storage hosted by MathWorks.

Go to https://matlab.mathworks.com and then click Open MATLAB Online.

Learn at your own pace with these interactive courses included with the Campus-Wide License.
