How to change your SISSA main cluster PASSWORD
You have to change your password at least every 6 months (in the future we will send you a reminder about this) and immediately after the opening of your account.
Keep in mind that our computer staff member will never ask by e-mail for your password.
Please read the page: SECURITY WARNING ABOUT PASSWORDS
The simpler way to change your password
The simpler way available for all users (SISSA conference guests which username start with “ id ” and administrative staff users too) is through the web page: http://password.sissa.it/
To change your password using ssh.sissa.it
1) Login on ssh.sissa.it from a Linux PC using the command:
ssh yourSISSAusername@ssh.sissa.it
2) use the command:
sissa-passwd
Please note: SISSA guests and visitors are not able to login on ssh.sissa.it
Special note
Each user is personally responsible for respecting Italian, European and international laws about any illegal action done using his/her account. Any violation of these laws may lead to civil and penal sanctions by the competent authorities. For more information about laws regarding passwords, please read this [[:sis:regulations:leggepassword|section of the law]] ...in italian only...)
